Short Biography – Kamla

I've always loved singing and always thought in my heart that I would end up doing it but, like so many people I kept waiting around for the right moment, the right opportunity to fall into my lap. 2004 changed all of that for me as it was the worst year of my life. Amongst many other bad things that happened that year, I lost my dad suddenly and after sinking as low as I've ever been, I realised that I had 2 choices; give up or pull myself together and grab the rest of my life with both hands.

Luckily I chose option 2 (my dad would definitely have approved!) and I've never looked back. Making the album was one of the first things on my list of things to do and it's been a wild ride! So now I've done it. After over 4 years of working hard on it, I've finally finished the album and released it.

Making this album has been a dream come true for me and is the culmination of nearly 10 years of experiences, emotions, work, ideas, growth and change and I hope that you all enjoy listening to it.
